On a beautiful Thursday, June 24th I headed to the Mew Lake Campground to register for my overnight trek around provoking Lake. Headed to my site on Provoking West, I started out along the trail.

The trek starts off rather steep, and it wasn't long before I was thinking I had taken on more than I could handle. But I continued on and it got better and better, and the views made it all worthwhile!

If you needed a nice place to go for a swim, there was a beautiful spot only a few km's in!

This beautiful view was shortly before the turn off to do the longer loop up and around (35km), I was heading around the shorter loop to stay at provoking (only 13km)

This is my view from Provoking West, such a beautiful site!!!

Just enough wood around (and some left from the previous campers) to make a beautiful campfire.

Of course no trip would be complete without having a smore before bed!

Sadly the rain set in the morning and it made for a miserable trip!! Instead of heading to the next site to stay over again and finish the loop I headed for home. it was pouring rain the whole way back and I was happy to reach the car.
