Sunday, May 1st - One thing my kids love, rockhounding! So when my 15 year old asked to go, I jumped at the opportunity to spend some quality time together. Off to the beautiful town of Bancroft, Ontario. The mines aren't open yet due to Covid-19, but we still know some spots.

There's not a lot of variety, but still can find some beautiful quartz, druzies and if you are lucky even the odd amethyst.

The views are beautiful though! As you can see that someone's pretty happy about the giant quartz she found.

A beautiful stop at Silent Lake for a quick stroll on the trail.

Love this little waterfall at the beginning of the trail.
