March 28th had me heading near Lakefield, ON to check out the Stoney Lake "Blue Trail" with my friend "E". I have to say of all our exploring of the local trails, this is one of my favourite so far!

Heading out on the trail, we checked the map, and took a picture (I have a habit of getting lost and making my walks much longer than necessary (as was the case in this trail!)

I love trails like this! The combination of rock, different types of forest and a great chance to see wildlife.

This moss (I think) was absolutely beautiful, like tiny little flowers.

Finally my favourite part of the trail, cut between all these lovely rocks, can't wait to head back in the spring and check out what might be blooming.

By the time we got back it was raining like crazy, "E" bolted for the truck leaving me long behind. Good thing we didn't plan on the longer loop or it would have been really miserable!
