Presquile Provincial Park Pioneer and Newcastle Trail

A very cold Saturday, May 1st the pup and I ventured to Presqu'ile Provincial Park to try out the Newcastle Trail. The Pioneer and Newcastle trails are right across from each other, and you can walk as a full loop and do both trails.

It was still pretty wet in some areas, but there was lots of beauty to see! We started off seeing some wild turkeys, they were quicker than me. The forest flowers are starting to come to life.

A beautiful little boardwalk ran through spots to help with the mud.

A quick selfie with the pup. He was being camera shy. Or maybe he was still looking for the turkeys.

After the trail, the parking lot is right on the lakefront, enjoyed the views before heading home.
