Picked up my friend E at just after 9am, when figuring out where we wanted to go, we opted for the same place we had been only a few weeks before. Both of us hopeful that the ice that covered the road was gone and we would see deer again.
So here we are - Petroglyphs Provincial Park.
Petroglyphs Provincial Park is a historical-class provincial park situated in Woodview, Ontario, Canada, northeast of Peterborough. It has the largest collection of ancient First Nations petroglyphs in Ontario
During the Winter months, access to the park is closed out at the road, so those wanting to visit need to walk in.

Conditions were great this time for staying on the main road, can't wait to explore all the little side roads and trails, but they are still pretty icy, and with both myself and my friend fairly new to hiking, we didn't want to risk injury!

Every time we walk past this spot, I dream of being able to get over there and sit on that rock over the lake. I'll be doing that in the summer!!

It was really nice to see the green moss!!
We went a little bit further on the trail this time, in total it was 8.9KM, a good walk. We took just under 3 hours, but did stop several times for pictures and had lunch at a picnic table up near the visitor's center.

We had a really good chuckle over this when we first got there, so I had to join the line up... us Taco drivers really know where the fun is at! :)
