I grew up right around the corner from this park, but never actually spent time exploring it. My son and I took some time to check out the Marsh Trail and Minnow lake.

The trail is pretty overgrown in some spots and there is lots of poison ivy, but that didn't stop us from thoroughly enjoying it!! There was a section that went across this little bridge, and through a pine section of forest that was just stunning!

Of course no trip to Petroglyphs would be complete without a visit of McGinnis Lake - A Meromictic Lake (the layers of water don't intermix giving it a beautiful blue/green colour) one of only a handful in all of Canada. Sadly this trip we couldn't see the rock carvings because Covid wouldn't allow us to visit inside.
